My grandfather was fascinated by gadgets and had a particular love for the nicest film and movie cameras.  I must have taken after him in that regard, since I started at a young age with a Kodak Instamatic camera with Flash Cubes and spent some time experiencing the magic of Polaroid instant cameras.  Over the years, I always took the vacation pictures and usually had at least a point and shoot camera at family functions and holidays.
